Customs Clearances
Gleam Clearing & Logistics is accredited by the Shipping and Forwarding Agents Association of Zimbabwe and we are well versed in the customs clearing procedures for both regional and global imports and exports. We handle RITs , Consumption Entries, RIBs and Export entries.
On RITs (Removal in transit), as Gleam Clearing & Logistics we do all the paperwork for shipments that are in transit through Zimbabwe from point of entry to point of exit. We are more experienced in the movements of Machinery, Agricultural products, Mining Chemicals and Fuel. We mainly do fuels that is in-transit from Mozambique to Zambia. For Agriculture we clear mostly grains from Zambia, Mozambique, Malawi in-transit to South Africa.
We apply for permits and licences on behalf of our clients. As soon as vehicles enters Zimbabwe, we take ownership by reporting breakdowns, accidents to Zimra and reporting od arrivals. We also mitigate fines on behalf of our clients. Gleam Logistics also provides clearing for consumption, that is import. We are more into fast moving consumer goods clearances that is clearing of everyday imports that are coming for selling into Zimbabwe for example beverages. We also do imports for Agricultural industries that imports animal feeds, agricultural chemicals and machinery. More so, we do import clearances for Aviation industries that imports spare parts and small planes. We also do consumptions for individuals for example those who imports motor vehicles or machineries, whether in SKD or CKDs. We also do clearance for mining companies who imports machinery, chemicals and spare parts.
Furthermore, we also do Export clearance, that is we help with the clearing of goods that are taken outside Zimbabwe. We have experience in Agricultural products that Is fruits that are exported from Zimbabwe to Zambia and South Africa. We also facilitate exportations for miners at the border who are exporting minerals from Zimbabwe to other countries like South Africa. We also clients of export permits where applicable.
Gleam Clearing & Logistics also do RIBs, that is Removal in Bond. We do clearance for goods that are removed from any point of entry (border post) and do the final clearance inland.
Excise
Gleam Clearing & Logistics do clearance of excisable goods, which includes wines, beer, tobacco to mention but a few. We also do monthly return for our clients together with payment of excise. We also makes payments on behalf of clients that is paying of excise duty on importation.
ATIPs
We facilitate ATIPs that, that is importation of commercial goods temporarily free of duty. We do ATIP in Construction Equipment, Drilling Rigs, Trade Samples, Hired Vehicles including Aircraft. We also seek for extension on behalf of our clients.
Border Facilitations
Gleam Clearing & Logistics helps with border facilitations. We help clients to apply permits and licences needed when transporting goods. We advise Clients on the documents required for clearances. We pay Zimbabwe Stakeholders on behalf of clients. We also facilitate acquittals, payment of toll fees, road access, carbon taxes and CVGs.
Special Cargo Clearance
Gleam Clearing & Logistics do special clearance which involves clearances of too heavy, large or cumbersome cargo to be transported safely in a standard shipping containers or trailers. Special loads are power transformers, cranes, drilling rigs, factory machinery, light aircraft to mention but a few.
Warehousing
We are one of the biggest clearing company in Zimbabwe. We also organize general warehouse space to compliment local distribution, loading and unloading of trailers, destuffing and stuffing of import and export containers. We also help individuals to set up warehouses and management that is control of mechanical devices used is warehouses, proper storage and warehouse safety rules.
Temporary Imports Permit Extensions
Gleam Clearing & Logistics seek extension for Tourist and visitors vehicles cleared under TIPs. If the Permits expires before the visitor or tourist leaves the country, we engage ZIMRA on behalf of clients. We also help the clients to make payments to ZIMRA which includes carbon tax.
